How to convert LaTeX to a PNG image

  1. Type or paste your LaTeX equation.
  2. Choose the size, resolution, color and background.
  3. Download the PNG, or copy the image to paste it anywhere.

Typeset like your paper

Equations are laid out by a real typesetting engine with the Computer Modern look of LaTeX, so the image matches the rest of your document. Choose 300 dpi for print and 150 dpi for screens.

Transparent or white

A transparent background suits slides and dark themes. Choose white for documents and chats, and any color for the equation itself.

LaTeX to PNG: questions and answers

What resolution should I use?

300 dpi is right for printed documents and posters, 150 dpi for slides and web pages. Higher values give a larger file with finer detail. The resolution goes from 72 up to 1200 dpi.

Can I paste the image into PowerPoint or Google Slides?

Yes. Copy image puts the PNG on your clipboard, so you can paste it straight into slides, documents and chats.

Is my equation uploaded?

No. The image is drawn in your browser by a typesetting engine that runs on your device.
