Clean text both ways
LaTeX in your BibTeX, such as {\"u} or --, becomes plain Unicode in RIS and CSL-JSON, and special characters are escaped again when converting to BibTeX.
Authors, dates and pages
Names with particles such as van der and corporate authors in braces are kept intact, months become numbers, and page ranges are split into start and end pages for RIS.
