BibTeX formatter
How to format a BibTeX file
- Paste or open your .bib file, or open it from Google Drive.
- Choose the indentation, sorting and clean-up options.
- Copy the result, download it or save it back to Drive.
Fewer BibTeX errors
An unescaped & or % is one of the most common reasons BibTeX stops. The formatter escapes them, keeps math intact, and reports entries it could not read instead of losing them.
Duplicates found for you
Entries with the same key, the same DOI, or the same title and year are detected, and only the first is kept. Entries exported from Google Scholar, Zotero and Mendeley are handled.
