How to convert LaTeX to HTML

  1. Paste or open your .tex file, or open it from Google Drive.
  2. Choose how math is written and whether you want a full HTML page.
  3. Copy the HTML, download it or save it to Drive.

What is converted

Title, authors and abstract, sections, bold, italic and code, lists, quotes, verbatim and code listings, tables with merged cells, figures with captions, footnotes, links, labels and references, citations, and your own \newcommand definitions.

Math that just works

Formulas become MathML, which every modern browser draws without scripts. If your site uses MathJax or KaTeX, choose LaTeX output instead and the formulas keep their \( \) and \[ \] delimiters.

LaTeX to HTML: questions and answers

What happens to images and the bibliography?

Images become img tags pointing at the file names in your document, so put the image files next to the HTML. Citations appear as their keys; use BibTeX to APA to make the reference list.

Does it run my LaTeX packages?

No. It reads the commands that matter for content and skips layout commands. Unknown commands keep their text, and the notes say which ones were skipped.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, and nothing is sent to a server.
